We’re a lot closer it seems. I can’t wait to get this thing totally live!

Yes, I totally agree Wilk. It’s been a long road, but things are shaping up well and I have high hopes =)

The Trauma Survivors Network is still in an early beta stage, so I welcome all users to report any bugs or issues they are encountering with the website in this forum. We definitely want to keep improving!

I am very interested in providing peer support. I am a registered nurse with a background in psychiatric nursing as well as medical-surgical nursing, have had experience leading groups and providing one on one therapeutic communication to help a patient work through various issues. My own recovery is nearing its end, although I have a smaller surgical procedure and possibly a larger surgical procedure upcoming after September. As I can no longer provide direct patient care due to my injuries, I am very interested in helping others during their long rehabilitative processes, as I understand on a personal level what obstacles they may be dealing with. Feel free to contact me, as I have registered here and included my contact information. I had difficulty with supplying the information in the volunteer section, but am very interested.

Lisa – I am so glad to see you posting here! We are actively working to re-invigorate the website, starting with activity on these forums. We would love to have you reply to other survivors and offer support through your posts. I know your trauma center is a member of the TSN. Do they have a peer visitation program? If they are interested in starting one (and having trauma survivors interested in the program could be the impetus they need!) we are here to help. Please feel free to contact me or Elizabeth Wysocki with questions or ideas. Thank you for your involvement!
