Trauma Centers

The TSN was officially launched in April of 2008. Since then, 6 hospitals have joined the network. The American Trauma Society is actively recruiting hospitals to join the TSN.

Use the trauma center search at the left to see if the trauma center that treated you is part of the TSN, or view the entire list of member trauma centers. If your trauma center is not yet a member of the TSN, you can look for a member hospital in your area. When you link yourself to a member trauma center, you will be given specific information about programs and services that are offered in your area.

You may find that there are not any hospitals in your region that are members yet of the TSN. You can join the TSN without linking yourself to a hospital and access the on-line community, resources and activities we offer. We hope that in time, nearly all trauma centers will be members of the TSN and

Maine Medical Center’s Level 1 Trauma Center provides the highest level of surgical care to injured patients. A wide range of physician specialists are promptly available 24 hours a day 365 days a year to treat a variety of injuries and to give patients the best chance for survival and recovery.

Our Trauma Center has joined with the American Trauma Society to give patients and families additional resources via the Trauma Survivor’s Network (TSN). The website provides access to:

The Traumapedia with detailed information on injuries and treatments
An Online Community Forum where trauma survivors and their families share experiences and hope.
