Welcome to the Trauma Survivors Network at Wake Forest Baptist Health!
The Trauma Center at Wake Forest Baptist Health is located in Winston Salem, North Carolina. We are a Level I Trauma Center for western North Carolina as well as parts of Southern Virginia and Tennessee. A Level I Trauma Center has the doctors, equipment and staff to treat patients with severe traumatic and complicated injuries and serves as a regional resource center with the capacity to provide leadership and total care for every aspect of injury, from prevention through rehabilitation.
Our facility received the first Level I Pediatric Emergency Department distinction in the state, and Brenner Children’s Emergency Department is the only emergency department in the region that is designed just for children.
The health care professionals who care for adult and pediatric trauma patients receive specialized training in the most up-to-date practices of traumatology. Our connection with Wake Forest School of Medicine uniquely positions us to train the next generation of trauma practitioners where we utilize the most advanced clinical research and techniques to inform excellence in clinical medicine, research, patient care, and community health.
