Hand Therapy

Certified hand therapists are occupational or physical therapists who are highly experienced in evaluating and treating upper extremity disorders and injuries. Hand therapists are qualified to treat a range of complex upper extremity injuries and provide rehabilitation following surgical repair. The requirements for becoming a certified hand therapist are at least 4000 hours of experience with upper extremity rehabilitation, a minimum of 5 years practicing, and successful completion of the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) exam.
