Hi, I have read many accounts of people’s terrible traumas, and their incredible courage to push through against all odds. Truly inspiring. Is there anyone who is living with Complex-PTSD? How are you coping with your emotional and physical symptoms?

Yea, hi, I am.. It has been a long road for me to be ready, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, to begin facing the horrific events I survived. With that being said, recovery is possible. For all of us. Just joined at the recommendation of my trauma specialist. What I am using now to cope: - very skilled, seasoned trauma therapist - support 12 step meetings (sober now for 10 years) ODAAT - The PINCH ME therapy dough.. profits go towards helping veterans with ptsd - 30 mins minimum of some kind of exercise daily, where I am physically moving my body. It can even be a walk outside – or on a treadmill or elliptical - There is a great support tool reference … it’s called “Seeking Safety” can be ordered off amazon or the Seeking Safety Website Write me back, if you would like to stay in touch – It was suggested to me that I come here for peer to peer support - Atlantic P.

I am being treated here by Johns Hopkins and a Pych Dr and Therapist. Every day with C-PTSD is hard. I find CBT helpful and go to treatment programs by next steps and others. I use my watch and phone to track activities like movement, heart rate, and sleeping so I can give that information to my treatment team. It took me a long time to find all the doctors I do now, but once you do find a whole treatment team, you can work on a whole-body approach incase you have other health issues. Hang in there. This is a great place to see that you are not alone.
