Hello my name is Rygel I’m a 34 year old black male with a disease known as Lupus. I got a knee replacement in 2018 but the nature of my disease is my soft tissue stretchs out so after that I could never extend my leg.So I had a extensor mechanism repair and it failed got infected so they ultimately fused my leg. I can’t return to work because I need a walking device to amputate like walker or crutches I’m pretty stable on my feet but everything is hard using bathroom getting in doors or driving I been thinking of just cutting my leg off and using a prosthesis but it would have to be above the knee amputation which I heard tell is harder to come back from but this point everything in my life is a shadow of my former self I hate it so much I’ve lost so much what’s a little more at this point?
