About Our Trauma Program:

Trinity Health Oakland has been an American College of Surgeons verified Level 2 trauma center since 2012.  Trauma center verification is a rigorous process which assures that continuous quality improvement measures are in place across all aspects of patient care.  Since 2012, we have continued to grow our trauma program and serve as an education and injury prevention resource to our local communities.

From the emergency department to inpatient rehabilitation services, our multidisciplinary trauma team works to provide collaborative care of seriously injured patients across the spectrum of their care.  Recognizing the specific needs of our community is a critical aspect of the care we provide.  As such, our injury prevention efforts provide wide ranging education, such as senior fall prevention, Stop the Bleed Training, and transportation safety for all ages.
