May is Trauma Awareness Month – Join us all month long to celebrate Trauma Survivors and the professionals who directly impact patient care.

National Trauma Survivors Day (NTSD) will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.  It’s the third Wednesday in May and is a day to celebrate the strength and resilience of trauma survivors, their families, friends, and the professionals who help them.

NextSteps Online – The free NextSteps program is based on the principles of self-management. YOU play the most important role in your recovery. NextSteps teaches you how to become more active and take control of your recovery. It uses techniques to increase one’s self confidence and sense of empowerment. Learn more here.

Empower and enrich the lives of older adults, adults with disabilities and their caregivers. The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) works to advance awareness, research, treatment, and education to improve the quality of life for adults and children affected by brain injury. Brain Injury Support Group – Brain Injury Hope Magazine

Join us for our monthly BIHN Brain Injury Support Groups. Open to all individuals interested in brain injury recovery—survivors, caregivers, and professionals. These groups are a chance to share experiences, gain understanding, and connect with others facing similar challenges in a supportive and welcoming environment. For all meetings, reminder emails are sent the day before to ensure that anyone interested can be part of our support group community. Zoom login information will be sent by email to all subscribers. Christine Ann Center

Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services (CADASI) operates a 64 bed emergency shelter for individuals and families needing safety and shelter from an abusive situation.  While the shelter and 24-hour help line are essential we recognize that it is our outreach services to those not living in the shelter along with the teen/children’s programs and community education that truly fulfil our mission.  We are the only agency providing comprehensive domestic violence programs and services to communities in Winnebago and Green Lake Counties. Fox Valley Lions Medical Equipment Loan Locker

The Fox Valley Lions Loan Locker’s mission is to provide access to medical equipment without charge to the residents of the Fox Valley. When equipment is done being used, it is returned to the warehouse where it will be repaired, if necessary, and reissued. Learn more here.

Larson-Winchester Lions Medical Equipment Loan Locker

Since 1984, the Larson-Winchester Lions Club has operated a medical equipment loan locker. Equipment is lent out to those in need with a minimal amount of paperwork. When equipment is no longer needed, it is returned to our warehouse where it will be repaired, if necessary, and reissued. There is no charge for this equipment because it is a loan but donations are welcome. Donations help to replace worn equipment and fund community projects. Learn more here.

NAMI Fox Valley

NAMI Fox Valley’s support groups offer support and understanding based on the wisdom of lived experience. NAMI Fox Valley is a local affiliate of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. As a NAMI affiliate, we are able to offer certain signature mental health programs developed by NAMI and to be part of NAMI’s powerful nationwide voice for mental health advocacy. While we are a proud member of the NAMI alliance, however, NAMI Fox Valley (like other NAMI affiliates) is an independent nonprofit organization that does not receive any monetary support from NAMI. Our facilitators are not therapists and our groups are not intended to replace therapeutic counseling. Many of NAMI Fox Valley’s support groups meet online via Zoom. Neuroscience Group

Neuroscience Group providers are your local concussion and traumatic brain injury experts. We’ve created a multidisciplinary team featuring Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialists, neurologists, and physical,  speech and occupational therapists all in one convenient location. We also have a clinical therapist and a support group to help patients deal with the emotional issues surrounding their injury. Neuroscience Group offers unique treatment options such as, a GyroStim machine which is a non-invasive way to treat balance and dizziness issues associated with traumatic brain injury. Ongoing – The NextSteps program is a free 6-week self management course designed to recognize that YOU play the most important role in your recovery. based on the principles of self-management. Options for Independent Living

Options for Independent Living is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization committed to empowering people with disabilities to lead independent and productive lives in their community through advocacy, the provision of information, education, technology and related services. As part of the independent living philosophy of consumer-directed services, Options staff will provide information so individuals with disabilities, family and friends can make informed choices and achieve their goals. A Board of Directors, comprised primarily of individuals with disabilities, determines the direction of OptionsOptions is committed to hiring staff with disabilities.

Soar Fox Cities

SOAR Fox Cities is thrilled to be the home of the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Support Program, serving community members living with a TBI, as well as those supporting a TBI survivor.
