Piedmont Athens Regional
Piedmont Athens Regional is a state-designated and American College of Surgeons (ACS)–verified Level II Trauma Center committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality trauma care for Northeast Georgia. Located in Athens, we serve a 17-county region that includes urban, suburban, and rural communities—caring for patients at their most critical moments and supporting them throughout recovery.
We are excited to launch the Trauma Survivor Network (TSN) for our trauma patients, survivors, and the communities we serve. Through TSN, Piedmont Athens Regional extends trauma care beyond the hospital walls by connecting survivors and families to national support networks, trusted local resources, and peer-based support. This program allows us to link patients to established national trauma survivor communities while also building our own peer mentor program and community-based support network right here at home.
Guided by Piedmont’s mission to make a positive difference in every life we touch, our trauma team is dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care, access to resources close to home, and partnerships that strengthen recovery and resilience. At Piedmont Athens Regional, real change lives here—through expert trauma care, meaningful connections, and a commitment to empowering survivors and families throughout their healing journey.
