Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) – Gainesville is an American College of Surgeons (ACS) verified level I adult trauma center located in Gainesville, Georgia. As a level I trauma center, NGMC is ready 24/7/365 to care for the most severely injured patients. Trauma care requires collaboration across all specialties, beginning with prehospital professionals, all the way through the rehabilitation phase. Our team consists of skilled physicians, nurses, and support staff, to manage all traumatic injuries. Although our number one goal is to prevent injuries, through our injury prevention efforts, we recognize that trauma does happen, and it is unpredictable. In these unfortunate situations, the trauma team at NGMC provides the highest level of trauma care. Continuing trauma care includes mental health recovery for trauma patients and not just physical care.

TandemStride
TandemStride is a technology-enabled platform powered by the strength of peer connection through shared lived-experiences to aid in effective and meaningful recovery after injury or illness. This free app connects trauma survivors and/or their caregivers with fellow community members who have prevailed through similar challenges.
TSN – NextSteps Online
The NextSteps program is a free 6-week self-management course designed to recognize that YOU play the most important role in your recovery. based on the principles of self-management. It uses techniques that have been scientifically proven to increase one’s self confidence and sense of empowerment. NextSteps teaches you the skills to become an active self-manager of your health and your life.
TSN – Support Groups
Traumatic injuries affect both physical and psychosocial well-being. The Trauma Survivor’s Network Peer Support Groups connect trauma survivors, providing a space to share experiences, offer mutual support, and enhance coping skills.
