At North Memorial Health, we recognize that trauma affects individuals, families, and communities.
Our commitment to healing and recovery is reflected in our comprehensive trauma services, designed to support patients and their families throughout the healing journey. We aim to provide timely, high-quality care with exceptional customer service to help individuals return to their optimal condition after injury. With over 50 years of experience as a trauma center, we offer advanced facilities and a dedicated team of professionals who deliver immediate care.
As a Level I Trauma Center, North Memorial Health – Robbinsdale Hospital provides round-the-clock surgical capabilities and extensive care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics. We prioritize the needs of families and are active in research, education, injury prevention, and outreach. Additionally, we operate one of the largest hospital-based ambulance services in the country, featuring helicopters and ground ambulances.
Our trauma services include resources that assist patients and families in navigating the emotional challenges associated with trauma. We offer family support services, providing education and resources to help families cope alongside their loved ones. By connecting individuals with community resources and providing integrated medical and psychological support, we enhance the recovery experience, addressing both physical and emotional health.
At North Memorial Health, we are dedicated to positively impacting the lives of trauma survivors and their families, believing that healing is best achieved through collaboration, compassion, and community support.
Healing Together: A Message to Our Survivors 🌼
Dear Trauma Survivors,
Today, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the journey each of you is on. Healing from trauma is a deeply personal experience, and it’s important to remember that you are not alone. Each step you take, no matter how small, is a testament to your resilience and strength.
As Coordinator of the Trauma Survivors Network here at North Memorial Health along with physicians, advanced practitioners and other healthcare team members, please remember that as you continue your healing journey; healing is not a linear process. It’s okay to have good days and bad days. Honor where you are in your journey. Reach out to fellow survivors, whether here in our network or in your community. Sharing your experiences and hearing others can be empowering.
We are here to provide support, tools, and resources. Check out our resource listed below for hotlines, support groups, and educational materials.
Take time for yourself. Engage in activities that bring you joy or relaxation, whether it’s reading, walking, or meditating. Remember every step forward deserves recognition! Whether it’s seeking help, starting therapy, or simply getting out of bed, celebrate your progress.
Remember, you are not defined by your trauma, you are defined by how you rise after it. Together, we can create a safe space for healing, understanding, and empowerment.
With love and support,
Teri Evans, North Memorial Health TSN Coordinator
