Wellstar MCG Health is the Regions only ACS-Verified Adult Level 1 and Pediatric level 2 Trauma center. When minutes matter, no trauma is too big, and child is too small. With in-house and specialty coverage 24/7/365, we provide comprehensive care to the most critically injured patients right here at home. We are located in Augusta Georgia and are affiliated with Augusta Universities Medical College of Georgia.
As a member of the Trauma Survivor Network, it allows us to extend our reach those who have survived a trauma and are looking for the next steps in life post traumatic injury. We provide continuing services well beyond the acute phases of treatment. We understand that there is far more to healing than just physical. Surviving a traumatic event can include psychological and mental healing as also.
Support groups are a safe place where you can connect with others that have experienced similar situations. Through TSN there are resources that can offer support to assist with psychological healing. Going home from the hospital with the new you can be overwhelming and distressing. We want to help with that. That is why we owe offer support.
