Abington Hospital – Jefferson Health, a level 2 trauma center, is a 665-bed, regional referral center and teaching hospital, which has been providing comprehensive, high-quality services for people in Montgomery, Bucks and Philadelphia counties for more than 90 years. Abington Hospital employs over 5,600 employees, making Abington Hospital one of the largest employers in Montgomery County. The hospital’s medical staff consists of over 900 physicians, including primary care, medical and surgical specialists. More than 1,100 volunteers give their time and talents to support this not-for-profit hospital, and Abington Hospital provides more than $45 million in free care to our community each year.

Abington Hospital was founded as a teaching hospital and currently sponsors five residency programs for physicians in family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, general surgery and dentistry. The hospital operates the Abington Memorial Hospital Dixon School of Nursing and the Radiologic Technology program. Numerous health education classes, screenings, helplines and support groups are available at little or no cost to the community.

Ongoing The NextSteps program is a free 6-week self management course designed to recognize that YOU play the most important role in your recovery. based on the principles of self-management. It uses techniques that have been scientifically proven to increase one’s self confidence and sense of empowerment. TSN Support Groups

Ongoing The Trauma Survivors Network offers free monthly virtual support groups. The online groups support survivors of physical injury as well as their family, friends, and caregivers. Trauma Survivor Support Group 2nd Wednesday of the month at 3:30 pm ET • 4th Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm ET; Family and Caregiver Support Group 1st Wednesday of the Month at 1 pm ET. Safe Kids Worldwide- Southeastern Pennsylvania

Stop the Bleed Initiative
