Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month takes place in April to ‘celebrate resilience, share experience, and raise awareness’ across the country and world who have limb loss or limb difference. The awareness month is hosted by the Amputee Coalition and we are promoting it to raise awareness and support our amputee survivors!
Did you know that approximately 30,000 traumatic amputations occur in the U.S. every year? That’s approximately 45% of all amputations. Help us this month to celebrate the hundreds of thousands of individuals living with amputation after a traumatic injury.
Wear Orange! Amputee Coalition challenges everyone to wear orange every Wednesday in April to show your support. Snap a photo and post it using #WearOrangeWednesday #LLLDAM2025 and tag @AmputeeCoalition and @TraumaSurvivorsNetwork. (I’ll be spending time at the thrift store to find some orange to wear! )
